As 2010 approaches, one thing remains on the minds of the government: counting everyone. According to the article published in today’s Miami Herald, the 2010 Census is already concerning federal officials. Why? Minority populations and the economic crisis, they say, are going to make it very cumbersome to be able to reach every United States resident. As the article labels the population “hard to count” (those consisting mostly of Latinos and African Americans), Miami Dade County boasts itself as #7 on the list of locations in the national circuit. Broward County ranks # 28 according to the list. Democracia USA has initiatives that are developing with regards to enhancing the experience of Latino and Hispanic populations that will virtually become a huge factor in the 2010 Census.
