40 cases of the Swine Flu are reported in the United States, 28 of them alone in New York City. However, one of the largest cities in the world, Mexico City, has been hit extremely hard with nearly 1,600 sited cases of this particular strand of the flu and 149 deaths documented.
The United States has teams of researchers in Mexico trying to assist in proper preventative care towards the virus. Alerts have been posted and travelers entering the United States from Mexico are being given information sheets on symptoms. There are no reports of closing down the Mexico-United States border.
